This is one of my favorite sides to eat with Asian food. It goes great with my Thai-style steamed fish, check out the recipe here!

garlic fried rice
Ingredients
1 cup of fragrant Thai rice
1 ½ cup water
1 tsp salt
12-14 big garlic cloves, chopped or grated
50 ml oil, any non-fragrant oil (I use sunflower oil)
To serve: Thai steamed fish
Method
Cook the rice with the water and salt.
Heat the oil in a wok, add the garlic for a few seconds until light brown, then, immediately, add the cooked rice. Mix well, fast. Do not let the garlic burn, or the rice will taste bitter.
I like to eat this rice with Thai-style steamed fish (see the recipe here) or in the morning topped with a sunny-side-up egg. Drizzle some Maggi seasoning on the egg and thank me later.
